Paleontology Collection

Broward College's John H. Payne Hall houses a number of fossil collections, many of which are displayed in the cases installed in the corridors of the building. A number of faculty, staff, and students will be working on the collections, ie. cleaning, preserving, identifying, displaying, and maintaining the collections.

We encourage scheduled visitations and interactive activities for the K-12 students in Broward and accompanying counties. We also wish to promote inter-university study with students from outside our local counties and state. Joint ventures in other states/countries are part of our perceived program.

Broward College also has fossil and mineral collections housed in the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale as well as exhibits of Pre-Columbian artifacts and a Japanesse collection which is currently being cataloged for exhibition at BC.

Please visit the BC Museum and the Museum of Discovery and Science's websites for more information.
